Hey that's looking good Steve. Once your red has dried you can straighten the lines up on the shield with burnt umber or similar. It's quite good as it works well with yellow and red.
My red is still a bit tacky this morning so if the armour is dry I might do some more to that... stay posted. (y)

Yeah I was planning to lay some sand down for the yellow as I find thats an excellent base for yellow (y)

Whatever way you choose Steve, I think the object of this little exercise is really in the placement of shade and light, use which colours you feel happiest with.
How do you think it's looking now, are you fairly pleased with it so far?

Best viewed as :meh: Rog :cautious: Your advice I hasten to add has been superb and it looks a lot better than previous efforts but I don't think you've got a convert on your hands :unsure:

Armour shadow mix with slightly more Lamp Black added.

Couldn't get them past the vicar. :D and they're not flat enough, s'pose I could saw them off at the shoulders and give them to Nap.

Hope you had a good weekend Steve. I think there's enough here to keep you going for a bit. I'm putting mine aside for a day or two to dry and then I'll crack on with the sword and leather bits.
