For the first time I have the figure from MMM 200mm and this size I have never done.

It's realy very very big (for me) the door included is it about 340mm,so most of the things are put together to paint, but gonna wait to paint because it's a little bit to warm and the acrylics dry way too fast, and also I hope I can paint it nice, because I don't have a airbrush,so I hope that it's gonna work
with brushes only,I only can do my best,

It's looking very nice the figure, this evening gonna begin on the face ,but this is my era and love to make this :)

Wow, that is some model to be taking on, very impressive.
Without an airbrush it is only the fuselage section that could cause problems, but there are several suppliers of military colours in spray cans which will work just as well.

Mario, wow that is a big piece with lots to paint and a big figure too. I knew a guy some years ago who did armour and AFV's who never used an airbrush. He used the Tamiya acrylics fairly well thinned and a broad brush in quick washes to get the smooth build up of paint. To be fair it really surprised me when he told me he didn't own an airbrush.

Have to say though the subject matter gives me the shivers. I've been through the side door both getting in and falling out too many times and I was terrified every time.

Look forward to seeing your progress.

Cheers Simon

Hey Rob,

Yes it's a big one,I taught it should be easier, but I think im wrong, but I will get there ,and I also think about
to use a spray can for the fuselage section, but maybe I can get there if the paint is very diluted and put layer by layer, gonna test that on something :)

Hi Simon,

Absolute a very big piece and a lot to paint, don't have a clue how long im gonna work on,but time isn't important, just hope the result is going
to be OK??? That's also the way I think, thinned the acrylics, and do it with a few layers, step by step, that must go,why not ;)
I understand realy good what you say about in and out, same here, always stressy and a bit scared, you never know, but just follow the guys and get out, djeez pfff
glad that it's done that part of my life :)

Thank you for following Simon,

Mario

Hey Bob,

Mario

Hi Mario

Well you don't do things by half ! ....what a lot of work and nicely put together as well ...and your area of interest which will mean you'll enjoy the benchtime experience even more

Keep those fingers uncrossed ..you need them to paint ...lol

Following with interest

Have FUN @ the bench

I contemplated this figure, too; and the companion piece. That is a large section of aircraft to paint without an airbrush.

Great to see someone tackling this piece.. Looking forward to seeing it finished..

Hi Warren,
It shall be a big tackle for this one, but nothing is impossible they say,but if it's gonna be nice and good ???
Time shall say,but looking forward to do this one (y)

Thank you for looking

Yes thank you ,like you say no airbrush and a very large aircraft to paint, but it must go,
maybe with a spray can ore very diluted paint, gonna test this before I paint him what should be the best way,

Mario
