Good progress Steve, but do I spot a seam where the right arm attaches?
The rifle is too light. A dark brown wash should both darken it, and enhance the detail.

Hi Steve

Certainly getting there with this , the civilian/ military combination is interesting to see come together

Agree with Henk ref seam , arm looks slightly too low in place ...or is it tacked for pictures ?

The weapons looks too light IMO , you've probably seen picture below

Look forward to seeing more on this

Happy benchtime

Cheers chaps, arms are not glued on, just blutack.

Yep rifle totally wrong colour. So;
Balaclava repainted as more a brown colour and not grey, hair has had a dark brown wash added to tone it down a bit. Shirt has had highlights added and rifle repainted in light green with tan camouflage added, ordered a brown unipin pen to draw on the waffle pattern.

The jeans have some fantastic but subtle texture which my army painter dry brush(es) have found. I know a lot of people think that dry brushing is cheating but I just can't see how else you would highlight all the jean fabric. The dark patches are gloss varnish so I can flow a gloss panel liner ink down the leg seams and gold thread on the back pockets

Steve, most painting techniques are a cheat of sorts.. lol. I love my Army Painter drybrushes, but hat to glue the ferrules to the handle, as the started moving. Maybe I'm to harsh on my drybrushes :)

Good progress so far. I'm away at work and suffering withdrawal symptoms. Keep up the good work (y)

Excellent.

Did he actually wear Armami Jeans? In theatre? Lol. I guess its better than Hugo Boss..

Hi Steve

This is really happening now , that camo looks good ...complicated though .....works well

The watch is a nice touch as well

He was "Off Duty" !!

Great updates

Look forward to seeing more

Happy benchtine

Cheers Nap,
Camo is basically, from what I have worked out , a load of colour patches, with squiggles and dots overlaid on everything.

Front ammunition pouches done. The velcro areas just visible under the flaps was created with some Mr surfaces, stipple on with an old brush.
