Yes you might say that, a diorama kind of project just a bit of fun really but i always get carried away and what turned out to be something for my son ends up looking like something I'm prepping for a Golden Demon competition. Yes it's small perhaps but as you say you can fit more into a small space.

Helm. True! that is a distinct possibility. and is worth looking at(y) , but i was thinking of trying to keep the over-all size to a minimum, and, also the power supply to be as unobtrusive as possible. Hence thinking along the lines of a little, 5v battery case with an intergrated switch! Like the ones you can get around 'Christmas time', for putting on little decorations etc. Then splicing in the required LED, that have built in resisters....

Ken!...... That is a very good idea! Dolls House Lighting!. I never would have thought about that avenue. (y) .. However, it did take a little bit of explaining! when my wife asked 'Why', are you looking at Dolls House's at 6.45, this morning!...;).... But there is some very useful stuff to be had! ...Basic 5 arm candelabras,.. Single Candles!... Battery powered options. Great stuff! Thanks.

Mark.

Cheers Ken!.... Have just gone through the 20, pages of stuff!.... As you said most is modern! well, (70's) Have put on watch, two things....... But because of your! idea, i also sourced, 'The Dolls house Emporium'. The idea for the Vignette, was 'Napoleonic',... so looking at candles, candelabras, that could be adapted to suit this era!.. so basic 'Taverna', Ale-House', type of stuff!... I am taking a gamble, in presuming all this is approx 1/24 scale.:cautious:

Hi Mark,

I was up in Whitby last week and there was a shop selling dolls house furniture and lighting and I think most of it's 1/12 scale. I only happened to take an interest as we are cutting the patterns for some modern 1/12 scale furniture for a customer; honest!

Cheers

Jon!... I know Whitby very well. It used to be an, old haunt of mine, in my youth. I hope you had 'Magpie's, 'Fish & Chips', on the quay-side! and did the, '199', steps to the Priory?..... 1/12 scale would be better, than 1/24th, as this is closer to the 90mm idea I have in mind. Can you remember the shop name?...:).

Ps. Do you have a 'Pay-Pal', option on your website?

Regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

yes, went to Magpies, I don't eat fish but had a great steak and ale casserole; my wife had a piece of haddock that hung off the plate and was apparently very good :). Didn't do the steps this year but the previous 3 years we've been I did!

I think the shop is called Angels; it is in the Shambles and is where the Pagan/Goth shop used to be at the back.

Cheers,

Yes we were there whist it was on although it wasn't the reason for going. It was quite interesting seeing all the folk in '40s gear wandering around.

Mark One of the best suppliers of railway lighting is a company called Kyteslights, http://www.kyteslights.com.Have seen them at the Scotrail show and the stuff is wonderful. They have most sizes to fit loco lights, truck and pasenger lighting. They also make yard lighting and all sorts of sizes and uses, in scale of course. They do flashing and flickering leds and even have one to simulate welding and its super. New item, but not a lot of use to you, is a burger van with a crowd round it, looks brilliant.
Hope this is of use to you.

Don
