Hi Guys . After 3,5 years dealing with figure paintingand minor convertions, i had a strong feeling that i had to deal with some sculpting.

Mainly to be able to do serious convertions, and pose the figures correctly for my vigniettes, and maybe scratch some entire figures.

Well as usual i started in reverse!! I tried to scratch a complete figure !!!
A Woman of the French Revolution (having as a prototype Blanks similiar figure) in 54mm

My weapon was Mike Blank's excellent figure for figure making , and the few tools needed (made by myself ) as well as some Magic Sculp putty and Duro Putty.

To be honest i was sure that i was about to create Frankenstein number 2 , so i didnt cared to shoot many pictures .

I made an armature with the addition of resin parts a German parachitists head from Warrior;s since i didnt had any female head !!! I scraped of the helmet and tried to alter it a bit to look like a woman ( a tired and angry one !!!)

The rest is History

The result is that i had a great time doing this (which i guess is the issue for modelling) and i also now beleieve that if i try a lot i can do few things in the converting or even sculpting area.

Of course i will get all the help i can from friends around the world.

Its not completely finished and i ll rework some areas, but i needed to have a sign !

Please share your thoughts for my first ever trial

Thanks a lot guys

Costas,
It is a great start. In my opinion you sculpt is really good. I like the front, but the back of the figure need some more work. When i compare front and back the front has much more detail. I hope i explain it enough.

Marc

Cheers
