Nice looking set & finish here mate :)

Photos too are right on the Mark in terms of colour & focus.
How you planning to display this guy?

Mike

Great work, Mario, I love both the bike and rider.
I'm curious what you've got planned for the base too.
Cheers

Thanks for the comments guys . He is going to end up on a small diorama with a Austin Tilly and driver . I am afraid he is to small to display on his own, as I generally prefer larger figures and He is a lot smaller than a 54mm mounted figure which is usually the smallest I would go . Not sure when this will be done as I am juggling a few things at the mo

Cheers

Hello. Do You mean the figure called "itchy rider" or similar which was once featured in Military Modelling magazine?

It was figure produced back in '79' to accompany an esci kit, he did a similar job with the German motorcycle and side car.

I've remember "itchy rider", a great figure.

Such a good job! How about an American MP on a Harley next? Bill Hearne did a brilliant large scale version of this way back in the 70's, it would be great to see you re-create this. Anyone got an image of Bill's figure?

-Rich

I like Rich's idea. I'd have to get two of them though... One to paint as is. The other would give me the bike with the "45" engine, rigid frame and front end to chop and the rider to convert into something more civilian ;):sneaky:

Thanks for the comments . I would like to do a Harley and Miniart do a state of the art one ,but I have to say these new generation kits are not for the fainthearted and they tend to have a lot of PE , which is my biggest nightmare ! I like the Andrea Harley but the bike is a bit basic .Definatly fun doing something different every now and again .

Bob's work was stunning, especially given this was in early '70s

Itchy is by the other bike & rider master Alex W De Leon.
He does great photographic spreads of his project here:

I've got two of the Miniart Harley sets in my stash - each contains 2 bikes. One for military and one to chop. Apparently they're a bit fiddly to build and a build was feature in MM in 2012 (I think). No idea when to do this- have a backlog to last decades...
