New Club/Open painting in West Michigan

I just wanted to let people know that there will be open painting at Rider's Hobby Shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday Oct. 4 from 1-4pm. Any subject, any scale, wargaming or for display - just come and paint.

I'm trying to get a painting club going in West Michigan. No dues to be paid, no "business". The idea is to provide a place to get together and paint - share tips and stuff - and just have some fun and help each other become better painters. Sometimes there's so many distractions at home that more can get done if the painting is done somewhere else. Rider's is nice enough to provide a place to meet and a discount for club members.

I know most of the people on the forum are no where near Michigan, but if you know anyone in the area, please pass on the info.

reminds me of my Golden days when a horde of us would have Paint n Pizza! it was fun and folks improved quickly, it was very social and some of the best times i can remember so good luck Wendy! hope you cobble together a fine Crew and have fun.
