I think these releases might be based on Norman Rockwell pictures ..but might be wrong!

The original illustration was by Gillette (Gil) Elvgren - he was a top artist for Brown and Bigelow - the celebrated advertising agency. He specialised
in calendars for some of their major clients and was retained by them for many years.

As you were, Nap, I got that wrong !! Most of the pin-up figures in the Andrea range are based on Elvgren's stuff, but 'Watch the Birdie' comes
from the work of Vaughan Bass. He actually worked with Elvgren for a time but did most of his best for Louis Dow's agency in Chicago. Sorry
