After Crete, the Fallschirmjagers never again dropped by parachute. The Allies on the other hand did so in increasing numbers.

A poignant piece.

Yes, the lower body is definitely my work. I know it because I sculpted it.
It appears to me that the paratrooper's head is also from Alpine figure... with helmet cover added.
Let me contact the manufacturer.
Thank you all for noticing it, guys!!!!

I´ve made a vignette just like that, converting a Verlinden paratrooper. I will post some pics latter.

My inspiration was, i think, in the same photo that inspired this piracy release.

Crete was the last German large scale airborne assault. But there were smaller operations till the end of the war - for example the unsuccessful night drop of battle group von der Heydte during the Battle of the Bulge.
The operation for Crete was designed to involve airborne units only (even the Mountain troops were transported by plane) and the defenders who knew about the German plans due to successful code breaking were well prepared and took a heavy toll.
Allied airborne operations were afterwards mostly not large scale but super scale compared to Crete and regularly supported by units on the ground etc.

I wonder why a company like scale 75 whose sculptors obviously know how to sculpt a figure needs to take advantage out of Alpine figures for that release. - Whatever - another proof for the outstanding textures of Taesung`s sculpts - plagiatism is the sincerest form of flattery
Cheers, Martin

This very uncomfortable if this is plagiarism - have to be measured if the scale 75 owner knew or realized??? this are comission works...
Teasung will contact Scale 75, I think that is correct before taking any other action...
I hope it all just a big misunderstanding sincerely.

Pedro

This is not the first time Taesung's sculpts were taken and Frankensteinized to produce "new" figures... I believe the other company pulled those figures off market and I'm sure this will be a similar experience.

Sad really, as the idea behind this release is really interesting.

Agree - so let`s put it this way - I don`t understand why the sculptor who had the ability to turn the shown picture into a nice model had to mount his figure on these legs:)

These are just cut and shuts...bits added together if you ask me...look at the jacket of the mountain trooper its supposed to be 1941. Jump smock pockets are internal not external...the list of mistakes is huge. Ww2 german figures are the most publicised on earth so why the errors.

This should be removed due to the concerns of the copyright etc...

you re right Stu lthe legs of the fallschirm are from alpine ramcke's figure
there is no front pocket on the wool trousers the ammo pouch are not in leather...
let Taesung solve the problem himself with this company
We are all with you taesung

Really not cool, and certainly does no favours to the image of Scale 75, shame.

By the way, I prefer your figure Taesung (y)

Well I hate that kind of "emotional" or "poignant" (what a word, how do you pronounce that ?) crap anyway.
But then again, I'm known for being a very bad character.

Anyways, don't lose any sleep over this Taesung - wherever and whenever I spot such plagiarism I'll send you a note, you can count on me.
