Hi Keith

Nice work mate ...the hairy Harry looks great, like the painting on him ...and the officer

What's the original figure or is it another of your sculpts ?

Thanks for sharing

Very nice Keith.
That frock coat must have been a bugger well done.
Mick

Thanks for Looking in Mick.
That frock, all I can say is not printable here.
All of the flat detail, tails, sash, arm chevrons etc are all Milliput.
For the fine lace on cuffs and collar I finally settled on very fine wire.
Cheers Mate

Hi Keith,

Glad to see someone else making good use of the old Airfix figs. These are mine from 40+ years ago... built using kit-bits and plastic wood (no greenstuff in those days). Not up to this site's standards and now long overdue for a repair, clean up and a re-paint :(

Anyone guess which kit is which? (one is a scratchbuild except for the face and hands)

Hi Neil
Welcome back.
We were all the same 40 years ago Mate.
The massive changes in all areas make things a lot more possible.
I would leave your pieces as they are and use them as a reminder where you came from.
If you think I can help at all drop me a line.
All the best
Keith

Yes, thanks (y)

The oldest one is the pikeman, probably made c1965 (I'd be 14/15): before then I did a really awful samurai (didn't understand how the armour worked) which I no longer have and a not very good landsnecht (based on Joan of Arc!). The last of the Naps would have been c1969 and included my first scratchbuild.

I then moved on to my still to be completed mounted samurai (still 1/12th). A 40 yo WiP which I've recently started re-fiddling with :)
