Might not look very different from the last picture but I have done quite a lot of work glazing the transitions and sharpening the details. Also decided that the cord edging on the collar was too prominent so I added a fraction of a millimetre of depth to the cloth of the collar. I think it looks better than before.

It looks really tidy so far. Will you be shading the jacket a bit more?
I love how you can basically sculpt and make what you want.

Hi Simon

Looks good mate , nice glazing , if anything I’d shadow the inside of the flap more to hint at a lining ?

Good move on the collar

Keep painting

Cheers David, my photography isn't the best, it seems to remove the shade on his abdomen, which I had to cut back quite a bit as it was too strong. I'll have to take better pictures.

Thanks for the sentiment on my sculpting, it does give me a freedom I enjoy but I still prefer painting professionally sculpted figures, those that have a quality I'd love to be able to emulate, may be one day if I keep practicing.

Good idea regarding the lining, not that I have seen any evidence thar the lower parts of the coat were lined but it would make sense for them to be. I shall revisit and see what I can do.

That's really nice work. Very smart and it's good to see an original subject.
There's a lot to be said for sculpting your own if the figure you want to make doesn't exist yet.

Cheers David, that's the joy of making my own figures, I can paint what I want which is often something not commercially available. That said I have started, and will post up soon, my next one which is a copy of a commercial figure that I can't track down so I'm making my own.

Cheers Simon
