Hi Guys

This one is gonna be a bit long reaching and probably impossible to do. At our club meeting last night (16th March) an old member arrived and brought with him a load of books and magazines that he wished to pass onto the club to sell at the next bring and buy sale. Well after everybody had gone through and picked out what they wanted, there was quite a bit left.

Well I aquired only two magazines, both military modelling, one being the December 1986 with the show report for the first Euro Militaire, brilliant, I might add although not very photographic, one thing interested me and that was the show catalogue, just wondering if anybody still had one of these... I am not saying I would like to aquire one, just interested in what it contained...

Well the other MilMod that I aquired was the one dated October 1988... Yes the one with the first part of the Build Up of Bill Horan’s Gandamak. I wanted to know, as I don’t have a full set of MilMod’s and I haven’t been into the hobby as long as some.

Did the build up series get finished and does anybody out there have the other parts in the following magazines that they wish to sell, along with that, has anybody got the copy of MilMod with the show report from the 1988 Euro Militaire as I would like to aquire this as well. But of course failing that good copies of the articles would be a plus....

I'm fairly certain it did get finished. I think I have both issues somewhere in abox in my storeroom. I may be able to find it if you'd like.

Hi Dave.

Yes, 2 more articles completed the build up of the diorama. I have all 3 copies safely under lock and key! :lol: I have seperated the "gem" issues over the years and these three are way up there.

I also have the 1988 show report.

I can have a go at scanning the articles for you if needed. PM me your email and I'll send you a test page, probably tomorrow.

I model in isolation at present and feel the only way I'm going to improve any is to meet with like-minded people. All I get nowadays is a "That's nice love...." off the Mrs, if she can be bothered to look up from Coronation St....

Not sure of Dave's club, I think it's the Welling club - and more importantly the Welling club have their open day and show on 9th April. Ther's other members of that club on here who can give u more details; it's a great little show and reasonably local to you, too. (assuming thats east tilbury, nr Thurrock)

Hey Anthony, you would be more than welcome to stop by and pay us a visit. You will find us meeting every wednesday without fail from 7-10pm.
The club is always pleased to meet new members and we are an interesting bunch of guys. If you are looking to improve in this great hobby, a club is a very useful pool of advice and inspiration.

Our show, as Rob so kindly mentioned is well worth a visit if you are after a good day out. (hope you can make it by the way Rob).
