I then mix up some Aves putty and place it on the back in roughly the shape of the knapsack. One the putty is applied the arm is placed on the figure to insure the arm and putty are not making contact.
The knapsack with folds worked in. I will do a little more once the putty is dry to make it looks like there are items inside the bag. the trick is to "suggest" the shape of objects like plates, utensils, rations etc.
Guy, The prints make it easier to identify pieces that I've sculpted.
Another shot of the figures together. Both figures now have their knapsack/haversacks complete except for the buckles and straps shown in Griffing's painting. All of the arms are complete minus the cuffs except for Highlander #1's left arm.
