I'm about to sell quite a few of my collection of figures, which have been painted by me to competition standard and was just wondering if there was any interest in anybody wanting to buy any of them.
At the moment i'm just testing the water to see if there is an interest.I would post pictures of the figures i have for sale on request.
The selling of some of my figures hasn't anything to do with the financial side of things, so i would be selling them at a very fair price.
I would prefer it, with Euro so near, that the figures could be picked up at the event, as i'm not too keen sending them by mail.

Your figures are some of, if not the, best I've seen Brian but I don't think I'd buy any, sorry.

1. They'd make me feel inadequate about my own efforts, they would sit on the shelf mocking me .... "Is that the best you can do?"
2. I think it would feel slightly plagiaristic. I would never claim anyone else's work as my own of course, but you can't help other people making assumptions.

If I was collector, rather than a painter, on the other hand...

Cheers,
Billy :)

I will be at Euro Brian, and without committing myself at this stage, I would nevertheless be interested to see what you are considering selling. You would probably get more enquiries / interest if we could see the actual pieces you want to offload.

I'm not generally a "collector" either and probably never will be (to date I only have one 'commission' piece), and I agree with Billy to a degree. But the flip side of that is that having a masterpiece or two physically in your cabinet actually gives us journeymen painters of "average to half-decent" ability something tangible to gauge our own progress and improvement against - literally alongside our own more humble efforts. Photos on a monitor are great - but sometimes they can also either flatter a piece, or not do it proper justice.

Hi Brian

yes would be interested but again would like to see what is on offer, I have a few in my collection from other painters, It's nice to have other peoples work you can learn so much from them. and it's always nice to see other styles of painting apart form your own.

Cheers mate

I will post pictures asap but in the meantime if you check out Putty and Paint i would sell some that are on there.

Ummm... I apologize if this comes across naive but I don't know what "Putty and Paint" is and if I did, I don't know "Brian" so who or what am I looking for? A full name or a nickname, etc?
Again, just asking and hoping to see some work samples.

Thank you,
Steve

Very elitist (membership by invitation only). No riff-raff or "Joe Average" painters on that site - although you can browse.

I hope you do manage to sell some stuff Brian, you're work is top class.

Interesting galleries.
Would be extremely gracious if there were links to some WIP progress and tutorials.
