108. Day, 22, of March 2011

Thanks again, Gordy, Carl, Stephan and Jamie.

And today You will be astonished too, for I did it again!

Today the hairs of my hero were turned grey.
In addition only once more the colours which I have used for it …:

106_1.jpg

I have first with a total of four passageways with slowly brighter and brighter are worked to brown grey tones.

Afterwards the hair splendour was "washed" – like at that time with the walrus moustache also – with a thin brown broth.

Finally, arrived – in quite small steps – to the brown grey tones more and more white which I carefully brushed.

Besides, I have tried to consider also the suitable incidence of light and the shade of the cap. The light is the brightest on top on the parting, the shades are the darkest behind under the cap.

Indeed, I have watched out to make the crossings between the bright-dark zones too linear and too clear. Then because the hair „would become too smooth“, virtually "oily" look – totally improperly for a Cossack!

If we see ourselves the head right now from all sides in …:

I find real, the crossings - particularly on the parting - have also been soft
enough appropriately clearly, however like the next picture from a rather unusual perspective points …:

What counteracts against the effect something else, is the still only grey undercoated cap. But this changes shortly …

So much for today.

109. Day, 23. March 2011

Today the first ear is painted, with these colours …:

109_1-1.jpg

Because the ear is in the shade of the cap, I am very reserved with the lights.

Result …:

110. Day, 24. March 2011

Thanks Gordy!

And today the second ear. Because it is on the bright side of the head, "Saddle Brown" is left out …:

111. Day, 25. March 2011

Thanks Gordy. No, the ears do not become red …

Thank You very much, Carl. However, the week-end belongs undivided to my wife.

Today I wanted to start painting neck and nape, felt well on it and motivated, wore my good old jacket for good sensations with the wide sleeves, has reached above the table for a colour bottle, has upset the figure, besides, with the wide sleeve – and now has here …:

111_1.jpg

Holy Sh..! Now this has really happened the SECOND time!!!

The uncompleted part of the cigar has said goodbye of course also straight away in the carpet nirvana – what is still the slightest evil, because adhesion would not have gone anyhow.

I have thrown not the figure to the wall, but only the jacket in the garbage!

Now neck and nape must still wait. And the repair standing now before me with almost ready painted Head becomes a "wild fun"!

Even though to all of You a nice week-end.

better for that monster as a million broken pieces monster I think.
I wonder what is happen to you my friend.
but such a smal piece as a cigar should be not a problem to scratch it in 25 steps....
remember my beast..

112. Day, 28, March 2011

With this state I have left behind You the last Friday …:

112_1-1.jpg

What followed today was first, the not uncompleted rests of the cigar with dentist's tools remove …

112_2-1.jpg

Then I have come along to solve this cigar matter sometimes basically.

This connection only existing of Milliput in mouth and beard has turned out THE weak spot.

So the minidrill was used first of all – a thing which raised at short notice the adrenalin mirror considerably, because if I had slipped off EVEN ONCE…

Fortunately, the "losses" kept in narrow borders …:

112_3-1.jpg

Afterwards I have made a new cigar, however, now a core of a cut pin …

112_4-1.jpg

… has.

Now the small thing may harden first of all …:

112_6.jpg

So much for today.

113. Day, 29. March 2011

Thank You very much, Gordy and Adrian!

Well - the new cigar is mounted...:

113_2.jpg

The cinder I will re-sculp immediately once more. Does not like me any more if I have a look at these pictures here. Has been anyhow too "un around" …

Because I would want that the Milliput only hardens, I shift the painting actions (beard, mouth, skin, cigar) on tomorrow.

Martin, I think the hole you have for the cigar is too far to the figures left. If you look at where you drilled it, it is nearly to the outer edge of his left eye. Also, his mouth isn't sculpted in such a way that his lips look like they are straining to hold a cigar in such a way. Just a couple observations. I've been watching your progress and you're progressing nicely so far!

114. Day, 30. March 2011

Thank you for the tip, Jay!

The first cigar stuck between the lips, the new one sits in the extreme corner of mouth – this should be like that.

For it there is even a model photo – only that with my Cossack the immense beard covers the upper lip.

Moreover, I have widened mouth picturesquely something …:

Everything anew painted, or restored …:

115. Day, 31st of March, 2011

Today it goes to the first – the dark - side of the neck.

For the application came these colours and I have reduced the portion of "Sunny Skintone" once more a little …:

115_1-1.jpg

I have tried to include the light head rotation with the painting and to indicate a little muscle play in the neck.

Result …:

And, moreover, I have taken up the proposal from another forum, and have shaded the cigar below stronger …

116. Day, 1st of April, 2011

Thank You, Gordy!

And today the other cervical page, the same principle, only other colour blendings.

The muscle play on account of the planned left turn of the head is included … …:

116_1-1.jpg

And with it first of all: „Nice week-end!“
