painting gaiters -usmc-ww2

I will be doing my first military miniatures and that is two us marines during the ww2 one from 1942 and the other is either earlier 1944 and the later half of that year 1944 it will also be a sniper .I will also be using acrylics in the painting of these two figures one will be from the DML set and the other is from the Master Box set what colors should i use?

Marc,

The Marines gaiters would be similarly colored. There's no discernible difference, especially in miniature. Vallejo Khaki is a good starting point, as outlined in the link.
