Well this is what i ve been working on lately.
Always wanted to paint a horse with acrylics, altough i know oils whould give a more natural finish. STill i feel i have better control over the final result with acrylicsAnyways after several fruitless attempts i got to this point where i m satisfied. Still trying to get the hair look somehow better (not sure how though).
Feel free to fire your critique, as i m quite positive there will be on this one!
Regards.

Dimitrios,
No fair!
You must give us your color mixes and techniques!

Beautiful painting on the horse, especially considering you used acrylics! (y)

What colors did you use? I love bright chestnuts. :)

Nice painting with the acrylics Dimitrios, wish I could achieve the same result:( Looking foward to seeing progress on this one, will be following with interest all the way(y)

This is going to be awesome. I can't wait for your steps. Hopefully this will give me the courage to start mine.

Impressive, spectacular.

Whenever I see one of your horses ... desire enter me of painting one.

I wish I could paint the horses with this force in the lights and shades.
Congratulation.

I will follow this post.

Dimitrios, you have to be joking about critisism,i cannot fault it - stunning -,if the horse is anything to go by then the figure will be awesome, concratulations my friend and thanks for posting,

Absolutely outstanding work Dimitrios!!
The brown colour is so right. Your highlighting and shading suggests a slight sheen that I find very pleasing and convincing.
It's hard to criticise anything in this; but since you ask about the manes, maybe I could make the suggestion to use a subtle old-fashioned black/brown (oil?) wash at the manes to give some shade and suggest separate strands. Just a thought.
I will definitely follow this!

Cheers,
Adrian
