A hat's on its place, at least now I can paint it ready, comparing it to the whole - it will be easier for me this way. From the original wand I will only use the head - the handle, because it seems too long to me and I am afraid of losses after placing the whole bust on a plinth (transport, etc.). I took a toothpick for now, tomorrow I will check if the welding wire is better.

Hi Marcin

Good idea painting in situ in my opinion as well .....as for the wand I would suggest a suitable brass rod if you have it there

Look forward to more on this

Happy benchtime

Alas, I don't have any in my stash... But I think you'll be happy with the effect ;)

No. It'll be something different. But I can't say nothing for now.

Well, I think I can start painting the second version - "after work". Beautiful, just look at this face, stigmatized with pain..., and life style...

Another style of the mask, this one'll be from leather. As it's supposed to look old and worn out, I'll remove a few rivets.

Keep safe.

Hi Marcin

Version 1 looks really good , look forward to the rod and completion

Version 2 looks good with the hat and mask positions .........any thoughts on colours yet ?

Painting the wounds on face will be interesting to see

Thanks for update

Happy benchtime

Well, how about this? I decided to look at the topic a little differently than before... The paints I used: skarsnik green, bieltan green (wash), agrax earthshade (2nd wash), light yellow (highs)...

As for the mask and coat, they'll be brown I think...

Ha!
I'm glad I made a surprise!
Traces of fighting a pandemic... It is obvious that the plague air penetrated the mask and the herbs in its beak did not help much. Right eye will have endosperm. I also need to improve shadows and color transitions.

Yep - looking good! I forgot to ask - there seems to be a rat in the pics of the parts, or am I seeing things?

Just noticed - the rodent appears to fit in his right cuff. On that subject I remember some years ago we were visiting Norwich Cathedral to see the Edith Cavell memorial. We bumped into a young couple, the girl of whom had a white rat down her cleavage (lucky rat). She told us she took him everywhere with her. My missus seems to recall his name was Riff-raff. Whatever floats yer boat I guess.

Your eyesight doesn't deceive you, I almost forgot about Jerry ;). I will find him and paint him at the end.
