Anyone know what's happening with the future of Euro?

Hi there

You might have seen it on social media that Adrian Hopwood has decided to step down from the organising team , not sure about Thomas , Richard or Steve .

I have heard rumours but I emphasise rumours that it's being looked at but no other announcements have been made

I can only imagine the situation for Adrian in his decision and totally respect him and all for their tremendous hardwork on past shows

I am sure as soon as something has been finally decided a announcement will follow

It's pointless speculating but let's all support the team when they need it

Adrian has publicly said 2 things.
1) He is withdrawing from the current organising team of Euro Miniatures Expo, leaving space for someone else to bring in fresh ideas.
2) This means nothing more than that.

So Richard and Steve need time now to think,
plan, and look forward to any new EME show.

There won't be another THIS YEAR in 2019.
They will make any other announcements themselves in good time, but have spent time thanking all who have been involved over the last three years reviving what was a dead event after My Time Media ceased being the host.

I have been priviledged to be one of many involved in the show and am in awe of the efforts of others.

It would be helpful if we can give the guys some time and space to readjust and I am ready to pitch in again when any green light is shown.

Thanks to you all for the many messages of support and goodwill to keep things going.
I was painting side by side with Adrian on Monday night and he said how touched he had been to have been flooded with messages himself.

Thanks to YOU guys that attend, the show spirit seems unquenchable.

Thank you.

I've still not made it to Euro (finances and free time sadly) but I'm happy to make myself available to help spread word and utilise social media to help promote and bring attention to the show if it's of use. Would be a massive loss if it were to go from the UK yearly show schedule.

As a modeler I have all ways enjoyed going to Folkestone and Euro.
As a trader I have enjoyed it just as much as I get to see all my friends and make new ones.

I have heard that Richard is stepping down too. But I believe Steve Kirtly (SK Miniature) is looking into hosting/organizing the show again back at it original date in September 2020.

If the show is on we will be there supporting the organisors and hopefully catching up with all our friends.

Hi John

Well said its not only the show but the friendship new and old you meet again time and time again

It goes without saying I will support as much as possible and of course PF would love to have a display perhaps even doing demo's

Steve has got a lot to think about and consider but he knows we will all support

I used to go regularly when I was based in the home counties but now it is too far out of the way.
I think Folkestone was chosen mainly because it was close to Historex and partly to attract continental modelers.
If it was in central England it would be a must go for me.
