OhMa'Gosh. . . to have this ability, this talent, . . . must be a pure joy indeed.

So far, just beautiful .. . . I have no talent for this kind of thing. I am
not sculptor and have proved it a number of times. But I do marvel at
your ability to create this kind of sculpture.

Yes, Ken Farrar is one very talented chap.

Wish I had 1/3 of his talents.

Keep them coming pal.

Many thanks for the comments(y):) busy time at work but will try and post changes and progress pics over the weekend.

Cheers Ken

Great stuff ken. As this is period of German history I'm interested in I'm familiar with the photo of Princess Viktoria Luise and really pleased to see your sculpt Her Royal Highness.

Incidently, there's a set of four flats of Viktoria and other royal ladies but it's slipped my mind who makes them.

Roger.

I am truly sorry to report this bust will not be manufactured, please read!

Ken and I have been e-mailed by another manufacturer in Germany that is about to release a bust of the Princess any day now. His bust has been finished for a while.

Eventhough there is no legal recourse or copyright held by this manufacturer when it comes to historical subjects and our project. Out of courtesy to this other manufacturer we are pulling the plug on this subject.

I guess we just got beat on this one, I know Ken would have done one amazing job on her. I would have loved to cast her.

On to the next in line, you will all like him/her.

Cheers,

Gutted, Deflated and confused.

Roger, many thanks.
And to all the other members who have taken the time to comment , sorry guys. However having seen the pics from Germany you won't be dissapointed if you were thinking of adding her to your grey army.
Cheers Ken

Sorry to hear that mate as you have put a lot of work into this lady, i think Jose has made the right ethical decission on this one, there is no right over her but sometimes by coincidence two companies work on the same subject and one gets in first. I hope that the German company in question appreciates this decission and would make the same dicission in the same situation.

All the best mate,

Steve(y)

WELL DONE

Ken ,
This is a real shame for sure , and real bad luck:( , can we know the company that is releasing the princess ?
Get those sculpting tools out for the next cracker ...look at how much you have progressed since the "tanker" .(y)(y)

Jose ,
I doff my cap to you and the company , a very difficult decision indeed and one which shows how much you respect the opposition !!!!! WELL DONE , a CREDIT to the genuine traders .(y)

We all look forward to seeing the next WIP wether its a he or a she

Cheers Ken

Keen
sorry to hear this does this mean that we will have to get more books out of the bedroom?
Can you ring me over the next couple of days, it will be to your advantage as they used to say
Cheers pal, Tom

Ken, how bizarre is that! When I first saw this thread I thought what a unique and completely different figure to make. How weird to think two sculptors could think of this idea at near enough the same time!?!

Hope you're not too deflated?

Cheers,
Jon.

Hope no ones doing a bust of you know who. ;) :)
