Hello everyone!
Here are some pics of a figure I painted some years ago. It's more a fun project, the red RED BARON.

Comments are welcome!

Mark,
Very nice indeeed.
Are you an acrylic or oils painter?
Your composition and use of lighting compliments this figger nicely. I really like the wing in the background, it gives a very dramatic feel to the piece. How did you scratch build it?
Look forward to seeing more of your work.

All the best

Patrick

Hi Mark,

I'm a big fan of your work (I admired it a lot at the 2004 Hobby Time Bruges show) and I'm glad to see that you found your way to the planet too.

Keep up the impressive work.

Greetz,

Gino

Thank you all for the encouraging comments!

Guy, that`s right, it's a 54mm Pegaso figure sculped by Andrea Jula and was originally edited for as a special piece for the Ingolstadt Show .

Patrick, the figure is almost exclusively done in Humbrol, some of the smaller parts are pure acrylic. The wing was basically made of a wire structure and balsa wood, later on some paper tissue was used for the covering and painted. Finally I peeled of some areas to indicate damage an show the structure beneath. The wing is not really to scale as my engineering skills are quite limited.

Gino, thanks, I regret not having attended Brugge myself but a friend was so kind to place some of my work in competition. Are you perhaps coming to Ingolstadt this year?

Regards,
Mark
