Although you probably don't need additional references, I was just perusing the International Figure magazine (#9, March of 2004) and saw that they had a nice article on painting this figure as well.

They had some thoughts on red washes for the uniform.

Anyway, if it interests you, its the one with Count Dracula on the front cover.

Thanks for that Kevin i will look out for it.
Jose....i used a mix of raw sienna ; burnt sienna for the base
rembrants warm sepia and burnt umber for shadows
mars red for highligts and warm sepia and ivory black for the points
over a burnt umber acrylic base coat.

a couple of updates on this figure'not had the chance to do much lately its been damaged in the house move but nothing that cant be put right.the lancers body has just been pre shaded before oil coat'

Beautiful work Martin. I saw this in your "work area" photos. Glad you posted some pics of it. I like the horse and the base.
