Hi John,

To me this hobby doesn't get much better than John Belcher painting a Phil Walden sculpt.:notworthy:

I love the details, the hair on the arm, the pustule on the elbow, the bags under the eyes, the dressing around the other elbow, the chipped paint on the Owen gun, the ripples in the water. Choice Bro.
Hi Tony, what can I say mate, I feel very humble by your very kind words. This sculpt by Phil is a real beauty.
Kind regards. John

l've spent alot of time looking at John and Marks'and how they have brought to life the subject,..a numder of blokes have this figure now and many are going the dramatic approach it should prove an eye opener. But l do appreciate the good thoughts viewed on the sculpt thank you..l have in mind another water bust, that of a WWll Cockle shell hero Frogman, head and shoulders and hand free of the water, mask pushed back,yes/no................??

Although I have commented prior on this work by John, I must say that after viewing this piece in the "flesh' today at our local model club I can only say what a fantastic piece of sculpting and painting. And now will get one for myself. Well done to the two chaps involved in this great work.
Cheers Les

Hairy arms... Seriously?

I think I might just give up now.

Sir... You have a certain talent for figure painting.

Phil, that idea of the half figure Cockle Shell frogman with the mask pushed back sounds great to me. I look forward to seeing that one.

If I can keep the old fella trapped to his desk (hehe) there is always a chance to see more lovely sculpts
