Can someone provide some reference on this type of hel
met? I have never seen it before.

I think it could be this one? I believe it's a late period Roman Officers Cavalry helmet without the feather crest, I don't know if the crest would have been historically correct ...but who knows?...& who cares as the bust looks great & pretty damn near impossible to say no to...well that's my opinion
