Thanx guys... this is a very interesting discussion and I think at this point there's no way I could be more confused It seems the period given for the model may be a few years too early.

Seeing as the figure was sculpted after the first plate posted I may just stick with that scheme... or not... maybe... maybe not....

Aaaaaaacckkk!!!!!!!!

If their job was to scramble what brains I have left then... bravo, well done.

You're right though, those two have come up with a wealth of great information. I just have to figure out how to apply it... therein lies the quandary

Colin

I could complicate a lot more work.
The uniforms also vary the number of buttons, pockets and orientation.
But remember that changing regulation uniforms did not change immediately.
Each piece had a deadline included in years of use, is changed only when it came to maturity ... and not always, sometimes after.
You can bring it back to 1741 by cutting the upper part of the hat, but the colors of the almond are only three possible.
I remind you that the border color of the almond is the color of the buttons.
Brass or tin
I hope correct translation

I like that one jai...
My guy doesn't have lapels. There is square lace at the buttons and button holes, on both the coat and waist coat. The lace would be white?
Also, the hip pockets on the coat are horizontal, single point with three buttons, laced.

If we could figure out who this guy is... we'd be ok! Giorgio and Franceso, between you, you must have this plate somewhere in your libraries.

Unfortunately I do not speak English and do not know if understand your question, beautiful modeling sometimes takes only drawings

I send drawings.

chronos, the rendering seems to have buttons # 6
if # 6 are cavalry
we can see the change with cutter

tell me what can be #.

unfortunately I do not know where taking your table .... I will have about 10,000 books postcards and loose papers, but many are in boxes in the garage ... I do not recall it

the only thing certain is the weapon mod. 1728 used for many years, the army of Savoy has also used civilian weapons for hunting
only difference during the years taken to discussion
in 1741 wand wood
in 1751 wand iron

This is kept in the museum of my small town

sorry if I put so much material ....

but that's just me

This is great Giorgio.
I think the figure sculpted might be a dragoon after reading the last post. Pockets buttons shoulder strap and no lapels all point to dragoon 1741. Square toes and tall heels on the boots suggest that too.

sound reasonable?

I think you're crazy ...
But I also believe that everything is possible with a little work.
but you have to change a lot ...
some difference in the equipment and weapons

swords
# 3 grenadiers and gunners
# 4 dragons early 18th century
# 6 Dragons mod. 1750
img025.jpg

shoes
# 1 late 17th century
# 2 1775

# 3 infantry
# 4 Grenadiers
# 5 dragons

# 6 kneepads for grenadiers and dragons

The dragons wreak cartridge belt and match as infantry houses since 1753, before it was used
