Nothing wrong to me with the Rangers one... but when did Celtic used such an abomination?!!:yuck:

Just winding up the Celtic fan on this site.......I think Celtic wore this in the early 90's
As for the Rangers strip of course there's nothing wrong with it........there's no such thing as a bad Rangers strip, subtle, refined, the Haute Couture of Football tops always intriguing always contemporary (y)

This is so typical of the Scottish way can't keep religion out of it and independence would make it worse,
and just for the rangers fan in this little discussion hail hail :)

Don't think you have upset anyone Pedro Scottish or English

This thread is really interesting - dont seems politic discussion really.(y)
I thought this was some kind of joke, but today when I reading an article in a PT magazine about it and although nothing has to do with the subject I would like to leave my opinion here. Hopefully some of the Scots and English friends who are upset with me do not take this into wrong way?!
Well, I think the division after so many years will not be good for anyone, divisions create another type of situations that can trigger some threats in the region as previously written here and everyone knows what happened to the Republic of Ireland in recent years...
I think Scotland should remain loyal to the crown, imo would gain more benefits for his people, separatism should be avoided, will not be good for the future of your kingdom as we know the world today.
Scotland continues to have separate state and jurisdiction for purposes of international law. The right and the Scottish education system, as well as the Church of Scotland, have allowed the continuation of Scottish culture and national identity since the Union in 1707.
This dissolution will benefit the usual suspects.
Think about that!
I hope that makes sense, sometimes i´m lost in translation.

Cheers and all the best!!!
Pedro.

Pedro your a star!!!! What you've just written is about the most intelligent and well informed comments i've seen so far.It takes somebody like yourself, who resides outside this country, where you are looking in on the U.K. rather than being caught up with the daily rubbish we're bombarded with on a daily basis ,and using common sense have come up with IMO the correct solution. There's quite a few Scotsmen who would be informed by your comments.
You've just made my day!!!!
Brian

Remember the Celtic away strip which could be seen from outer space along with the great wall of China. This strip is awful close to that one Ron.I believe that religion should be kept out of football but the one thing that bothers me about the TIC.Why are they only team that i know of that flies a foreign flag? The good old Union Jack has St Andrews cross on it as well as St George and St Patrick crosses.

"Pedro your a star!!!! " no more brush stuff Brian. :D Hope to meet you in next Euro!

Cheers mate!

Have been following this discussions with interest, and with a certain sadness. I will be deeply upset when Scotland votes 'yes' to independence, and it most certainly will. It is going to happen, that is for sure judging by what I have seen on the news of late. Well, that's democracy for you, and if you truly believe in the democratic rights of nations then that is what you must accept.

I have many friends of Scottish decent who live down here in Kent who are ex army and are against a spit, but presumably will not be able to vote as they no longer live in Scotland. One guy is a retired Scots Guardsman and is concerned that the Scots Guards will be disbanded, along will all the other Scottish regiments, and be replaced with a paramilitary border force. History does not stand still, I know that, and you don't hear of Italians saying 'once upon a time ther was a Roman legion of Hispanic soldiers and it's a shame were not mates with the Spanish anymore, but they wanted to go their own way, and there was no Roman empire anymore...

Their is no reason for Scotland to be part of the United Kingdom any more, and some of my artist friends in Glasgow are decidedly excited about the creation of a new nation. Why would you not be excited? It is not often in someones lifetime that they feel part of a new and exciting movement, I would feel this way also.

Well done Scotland and bon voyage in you new found independence!

On a side note, don't start doing what I'm watching on the news at the moment. I do not understand what is happening in the Crimea at the moment, but unless the stupid, ego driven arseholes stop sabre rattlin' we face armagedon in a matter of weeks. The more we split the more we fight.

I'm pretty sure the "Jocks" would be safe what ever happens. Septem Juncta In Uno.

If Salmond gets his way, and Scotland becomes a Nuclear Free Country, after independence, then remember The Ukraine, because Putin will have his eye on you then. Faslane, and Rosyth, this end to go with Sevastopol the other end. Sorted.

We would not be Nuclear free ,the base is not just on the loch but built right into the surrounding hills bunkered up to the hilt ,there is nowhere in England that is equal to the purpose; some sort of deal would most certainly be struck watched over and guarded by the newly formed SVF :facepalm: and the SDF

I do think the whole affair is going to be a "close run thing"

Yes Ron I know all about the Base at Faslane, but he has already said that he wants Scotland to be Nuclear Free, so that flies in the face of coming to a deal so that England retains it. I've got a better idea all round. Do away with the Scottish and Welsh Assembly's, move the seat of government to a new Capital City further North. Midway between Lands end and John o Groats. That way we've done away with the North South Divide. People will not feel so isolated. Business and property investment will not be so unfairly distributed in the South East, and Scotland and Wales as well as Those of us North of Watford Gap will feel more included. That way Scotland may then want to stay united. It doesn't need to be a huge city, after all Canberra is not very big. We could even build a New Capital City purely for such a purpose. Now that's something radical, or plain stupid, I don't know. It is different though.

We would never allow a foreign defence force,to guard our nuclear deterrent though Ron, which is what you have just suggested.
