Day Three (of sculpting  ) WIP No. 6

Hi guys :)

I very much apologize for the several-day interruption, it was necessary. I hope you are all right. I wish you all a happy Easter :)

Now I can continue working. Today I continue with rough sculpting, a little work on the face and belts.

Cheers Borek :)

I'm curious about that little piece of coil or spring on that battle axe. What is its function?

thanks so much Nap. And yes, , you described the procedure very precisely :)

Found on several frescoes. I heard that it was a wrapped leather strap that was supposed to act as a seal between the handle (haft) and the the ax blade. I think it's highly unlikely. In my opinion, it is actually a wrapped skin or braid, and it is a simple primitive decoration of a haft under the axe blade .

Day Four WIP No. 9

Hi everyone.

So another WIP. I slowly smooth the surfaces, refine the details and at the same time do some other chain mail armor. I wish you a nice rest of the day and see you tomorrow :)

Cheers Borek :)

Me too !!

Borek .....Intrigued how the chainmail is achieved ...is there a homemade tool you use ?

Thanks for the updates ...everyday it's looking better and better

Thanks Nap. Yes, it is a tool made of epoxy putty (milliput). Such a miniature groove, rounded at the end. I use it as a stamp, its imprint creates a nice and gentle crescent.

Cheers Borek
