I have made some more progress with this figure. The rifle has now been scratchbuilt and test fitting is taking place.
This is a 1/30 one-off commission piece, sculpted in Bees Putty/Molten Clay mix and Magic Sculpt.

Looks interesting and a good start... but the left foot in the painting is nicely braced against the tree and the branch rather than what looks more like a casual resting mode?
The pose looks great, okay slightly different from the image but so what? He's coming along really well Rob, I think this could be popular once he comes up for sale

Not a matter of slavishly copying the picture, simply that bracing against the crook of the branch/trunk seems more natural and would provide a more stable platform for sharpshooting.
... not that this takes away from the great quality of the sculpt overall (great work on the rifle in particular)
