True…desk made for me some years ago by local woodworker..aside from any anal neatness, I have cancer and some other nasty stuff that makes dust and chemicals impossible..but the lamps just arrived so had cleaned everything off to install..I keep my oils paints in drawers..don’t use acrylics- I find the offgases of formaldehyde worse than simple linseed oil of artist oils..

Let me introduce you to my desk, yes, it really is that small! However, as my wife says 'its not the size, but what you do with it'. Seriously, some of you have an amazing space. Ian

I can relate more easily to the modest little 'hobby corners' here - those
tiny spaces where we can work without interfering too much with the
rest of the family - but as for those dedicated rooms that look more
like model and paint emporia.....well.....for one thing how long does it
take you to find the colour you need ? Do you arrange everything in
some form of methodical order ? Alphabetical or Dewey Decimal ?
All seems a bit complicated to me.........

Thought I'd pop my set up on while I have the time, it's the corner of our dining room. My wife has a set up behind me as she works from home, so it's a little crowded also I get told off when the swearing starts, no respect for creativity.

My bench.

Of course this doesn't include the stash of kits under the stairs, my boxed up gathering dust flats or the display cabinets.

This is my PROZAC and I'm damned greatful for it.

Cheers Simon
