Thru my usual surfing, I found a really nice series of LOTR busts and figures.

Here is my personal fave from LOTR... Theoden

Anyone tried them?

They are really well sculpted prepaints and with the work done here by some of our acrylic painters they'd look like a million bucks.~Gary

Gary, I feel the same way about some of the McFarlane action figure toys! Granted, they're large scale, but they could make nice figures if the joints were glued solid, patched up with some putty and repainted.

I have several of teh full scale figures. They are only avail prepainted but would look incredible repainted which is what I plan on doing withe the Elrond casting.
YOu can see them all at: sideshow weta's website. There is also a huge after market on E-bay since most are already sold out.

Thanks for the replies. I did not realize they came prepainted.

I spotted the Theoden on E-bay. I'll repaint if I do decide to buy. I was somewhat surprised at the high quality sculpting.

I also have quite a few of the figures, my favourite is the mounted Ringwraith. My wife wont let me display it though, as it frightens the kids.

Brian-

Thanks very much for the link.

BTW, both my kids (9 and 11) cowered whenever the mtd ringwraith's were on the screen. Kinda scared me a bit too
