Completed Something different: An alien head tie clip

I sculpted this alien head with super sculpy and make it into a tie clip.

I love the Giger alien stuff and I love something different too.
This looks great. How did you treat the sculpy? I.E. what paints and varnish?

Love it!!! Great detail too. I have also seen a ring that sombody sculpted where the alien wraps around the finger. I believe they carved it out of wax and then cast it in silver.

After baking the sculpt, the contour of the sculpt was traced onto a piece of sheet brass and cut to size for backing. The brass clip was soldered onto the backing. The sculpt was then mounted onto the brass backing. It was primed with a white primer, painted in metallic deep purple, metallic black and silver enamel paint with an auto clear lacquer topcoat. The camera fail to pick up the metallic deep purple effect.
