you know what...?! I think he'll turn out fine.

regardless of that, something bothers me.

it's nothing that's in my ability to change or even hope for but my my, how I would have loved to have a chat with James himself during the work on this one.

let me guess...

..James told you he saw someone doing this not even close to trying...?

:cautious:

I appreciate your patience Marc.
I only work faster for myself because the sculptdevil is calling....

unleashed a lightplan on the buste.

I'll let the base of the plan dry for a while.

think plasticity should be stressed in this one so the skirt should feel folded around him.

I will stop the painting for a while.

So much like to go on with Landa in the sculptors section :)

all thanks for watching and...

...Marc....Godspeed!

Hi Steve,

I enjoyed working on Coburn.

even when mounted slightly tilted forward on a socket Steiner holds his dignity and would give other ways to express him when painting.

I'd love to design a whole serie of actors, depicted in their special role and each one of them must be a challange for painters. That's what I keep in mind during sculpting.
however, there are some 'hidden' issues one can't notice during the process and the eventual painting was also a surprise for me.

a pleasant one!

Marc, thanks for your support, before and during the painting!

:) well thank you Richie!

I'm in the timeconsuming sculptbusiness again and planned to let Steiner dry for a while ( eventual filters, washes)

I have some good folks gathered for the project where Steiner will be in battledress.
