Hi all.

Finally had the courage to bring the two main parts of this fabulous recent release.

Had to make it one figure as I have previously painted the two main parts separately...But had to find the right angles for shading and highlighting for the completion .

I picked this up recently from Stuart at Stormtroopers at the White Rose show at Easingwold near York. Fabulous day out.

Thanks for looking and will post the finished bust soon.

Hi, I like your version of this bust! You don't put the end of the tassel belt?

Hi there and thank you for looking...yes I have one or two pieces to fit....the finial on top of the flag ...the painting of the rear of the flag ...and yes the tassels.....they will be last to fit....(y). Mike

Hi Mike

Wondered if you would get this , looking fine so far , like the flag and the headwear with your flesh tones as always really good

Look forward to seeing more on this ( sorted pics out )

Happy benchtime

Fantastic results so far. Great tones on the uniform and flag. As mentioned, looking forward to seeing it cross the finish line.

Great stuff. How did you go about tackling the flag.

Hi there and thanks for looking the flag comes as one piece including the right arm....after cleaning up and primed the flag has lines engraved to separate the sections. Taking one section at a time I painted the blue part with an undercoat of blue acrylic...the others red and white.... sections.
Don't worry about going over the lettering , thay can be painted at the end. When dry I applied permanent blue oil paint...leaving it for about 20 min. Then remove some of the blue oil gently ...leaving the blue undercoat to show. Then you can shade and hilight as required. Do the same with the other colours...best of luck (y) Mike
