Today I finished this fantastic figure from Andrea Miniatures. As digital cameras are not so forgettable I see some spots who need attention. But that's small business.
It's all painted up in oils, the picktail and barbedwire are homemade.

I really like your rendition of this great figure!
May I make a little remark regarding the painting of the rifle. It looks as if a big portion of the upper side of the rifle (where the barrel is) was painted in metallic. Shouldn't it be wood?

Hi Marc. That´s a great figure and you made a very good paintjob. With the K98 I would agree with tutilo17 and the metallic part. And I think if it is the "Waffenrock M1907" he need the red piping around the collar and the cuffs at the end of the sleeves

I looked again and it is definitely wood. I think the light for the picture is to strong on that part what makes it look like metal.

Then the total sculpt is wrong. There is only the random cuff with two buttons horizontal. There are not tree buttons in line top-down.
So I conclude that it is not the Waffenrock M 1907.
It is in my opinion the 1910 blouse but modified and introduced in 1915. It was a simple field grey or field green, single breasted coat. Collars were simple deep turn back cuffs.
Trousers were issued in the same colour as the blouse. Jager and Schutzen retained distinctive green-grey uniforms. Unit identification was confined to shoulder straps, some regiments wore them only on the collars.

Marc. I fear the "Bluse" from the figure is wrong. The two buttons on the cuffs you can find at the so called saxon or swedish cuffs. The later M1915 had no buttons which you can see at the front and the cuffs were greater. There exist versions with buttons which you can see, but only together with the higher cuffs

But here you can see perhaps the uniform the figure is wearing

Nevertheless your figure is great
