Nice looking figure, still not sure I'd be comfortable with that much armour so I'll be watching and learning. Good looking bow, an interesting hobby but I think I'd prefer an SLR or better yet a gimpy!

Cheers Simon

A "gimpy"??!!

"Gimpy, Gimpy, Gimpy: the man in me cellar..."

(Sung to the tune of Abba's "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme")

Ha, I'll have to be careful what I say, gimpy is pronounced as a J and is the nick name for the General Purpose Machine Gun or GPMG.

It is the sweetest piece of engineering I have had the pleasure to fire, that bits fine but it weighs a ton and uses a shed load of 7.62 ammo that also weighs a ton. All.of which has to be carried which makes it a bitch, even worse if you have a Sustained Fire Lafeyette (probably spelt that wrong).

Never seen that video before, hilarious. Still prefer my gimpy to your gimp though I have to say. Good laugh though, needed that after England's performance yesterday!

An old friend was in the REME. He used Bren guns, and said he liked those. Did you ever use one?

Yeah, that's properly called the Light Machine Gun or as I called it the large metal gun. Same ammo as the gimpy but magazine fed rather than belt fed, nearly as heavy and very accurate, which isn't what is needed from a section support weapon, good fun to shoot though.

I had a stint as health and safety officer in the civil service, at least I knew what stupid rules I was breaking on a daily basis. But yeah Health and Safety gimp is about right.

A long way to go yet... the leggings will be toned right down - no highlights, because they just irritate me.

Yes tone the green down, I doubt orc skin was a choice in those days! and with careful shading you won't need highlights.

Had the monster this afternoon and she was in a vile mood, had to try very hard not to laugh as I wad told "you're not my best friend anymore". Mind she cheered up pretty quick when she wanted hot chocolate. Hopefully tomorrow will be better as I have her all to.myself all day.

Cheers Simon

An hour in the conservatory today was followed by the bitchiest hot-aches for years....
Much warmer in here: painting straps, of which there is an abundance.
