Thank you for your metals tips, Brian. I think what might detract from my knights is priming the entire figure instead of leaving the armor as bare metal. It makes sense you'd get the beautiful effects you do by not priming those parts, so I'll certainly try your technique.

Hi Mary
The other way you can paint metal effects is prime your figure as normal and then apply Citadels Boltgun Metal and Citadel's Chainmail and then proceed to use the same technique as before.
