Just the first brush strokes and already looks like a great work!! Some people seem to be born for figure modelling. Thanks for sharing Guy, Luca is really a great painter.....

Guy;

I hate to ask what is probably a redundant question, but I've been studying the way luca paints his faces and was wondering if he using acrylics, enamels or artists oils. Sorry for being too lazy to check out the archived posts, but I am technically "on the job" at the moment.

Thanks
Glenn

:lol: Hello, Many thanks Mark. Yes glenn, the way that I used for paint my figure, is a oils colors. thanks to all friend for the compliments. :)

Thanks Marc. And thanks also to you Luca. They say immitation is the greatest compliment, and I hope to compliment you by trying my best to paint faces the way you do. They always turn out so perfectly.

I do like the way you handled the black tunic and the dirt and weathering around the edges of it.~Gary

:) hello Angus, this my oil mix for my black tunic: avory black + flash tone. for the shadows use pure avory black, for the lights more flash tone in the mix, for dust and mud, used mars yellow. thanks for the compliments to you and Gary. ciao from Luca :lol:
