There are a lot of us painters. By comparison there are many sculptors but, fewer in number. There are even fewer that do both and do it so well.

I do know where I can get the Pegaso 200mm 101 Airborne for a very reasonable £50 Sterling.
Peter.

Well if you aren't going to take it, please let me know and I will. Even with getting it to the US it would be cheaper than anywhere else. Lucky Dog!

Hi John,
It is so nice to see a lot of your work showcased together in one place. For me personally whether it be a diorama, vignette or single figure you have produced it is not the pose or composition that makes the scene for me (and I do not dismiss the prior in saying that as they are all integral to the finished scene)…...

it is the expressions and character you build into each unique individual face that brings it to life. Wonderful artistry in telling a story from the face.

cheers
Richie
P.S. Could I interest you into a little historical period of around 1879;)

Hi john, your figures are , really ,masterpiece, i have same of your 120 mm ones, and, in particular, i love the us figures of "the calm before the storm" i have them twice and found them as the better us winter figures on market.......just a couriosity...why, when you stopped to realize commercial figures dont sell the mould to other figures company??? Your us figures in 1/35 are really fine indeed and for sure, if they came back on market the should sell very well!!!
Now a particular mention about your incredible "LEAVE NO MEN BEHIND"from me ,in fact i love so much viet nam figures.......i images that you sculpted by yourself all the us nam tank rider isnt it????'Why dont you offer them to same figure brand to put tehm in commerce....???? I 'd buy them twice for sureeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

PS: Do you have same pictures of step by step sculpting work of your nam figures to share with us?????

However many many congratulations for your figures and your sxulpting skill!!!!!

John,
I am truly enjoying this thread. This is the first time I have seen several of these pieces, very inspiring.
Thanks, Rusty

Mario little bit of a step by step on one of Nam guys done in a little quicker process for "one offs" as opposed to process for a master for production(you "can cut some corners")....I pre sculpted head, boots, flak jacket then molded, pull out resin copies to use in the sculpture. Dark Gray expoxy putty is Pro-poxy...sets up fast 5-1o
minutes to set the pose quickly then finished with Magic sculpt. Its important when added figures to vehicle that they feel intrigrated and not stuck on

I have the Kharkov MG Gunner NIB :) just need to improve skills first.

John do you keep most of your painted figures in a cabinet, I know you get rid of some through charities but please tell me you just don't toss your dios and figures out after awhile/years.
