Figures are really looking great!
Thank you Scott.Figures are really looking great!
Thank you mate, I redid the weathering as to dark first time round. Ive attempted to show that these legionaries were quite dirty, having apparently marched three days then straight into battle at Camulodunum.Hi Marcus
Great to see the update , nice weathering , my favourite figure being tge man down falling
This is a big project and all credit for staying focussed it's going to be very impressive
Happy benchtime

I looked at soil samples around Colchester (Camulodunum) including the stone, to see what colour would be appropriate.

Definately not geeky make , blooming great modelling ...the highlight of the year for me to see this progress from bits in a box and a "bit" of putty ...lol
Painting looks really good ...may I perhaps suggest you take back the blue scarf to a lesser slightly darker colour ......that's still my favourite figure though
Are you weathering the Celt shield ?
Out of interest what's the actual groundwork dimensions ?
Good pics as well
Thanks for sharing
Bring on that groundwork ...can't be a bit of blood soaked mud !
Happy benchtime

Thank you kind sir, I was worried the close fighting would make the scene look confusing or unnatural. Appreciated.Absolutely stunning Marcus!
I think the tight composition is just perfect.
