Please Please tell me Sean Bean wont playing Uthred . To be honest I got bored with the books after no 4 they were just filled up with the same old material from the first book plus every time he drew his sword we got a half page description of it .
"Being produced by the people who do Downton Abbey, so might be pretty good?" Ian . That's the biggest turn off you could have mentioned .
As Fiction and Non Fiction Books are popular among members on PF how many here would like a separate thread on Book Reviews ?

I'm not saying that Downton Abbey is good - just that the production side of it stands out! Settings/costumes/props etc are very good, s should show up in this new series! Sean Bean is unavailable [tied up with 'Legends' show]. No word on cast yet, but filming starts this autumn in UK

A separate thread for books might be a good idea? Maybe include films?

I have heard rumours of this! ... It appears to be a 'BBC', rival to the 'Game of Thrones', . .. However! ..who will play the main part ? .. Ray Winston ? a tad old to be doing such stuff! Although 10-15 yrs ago he would have been perfect! .... However, here is the main question! .. which British actor would suit this part ??

James Purefoy might make a decent fist of it along with

Gary Daniels. If money was no object we could do worse than Vinnie Jones or Liam Neeson presence wise they'd make a good Uthred Jason Statham likewise but whether he can carry the dialogue off not so much same with Vinnie​
