Hi nap mr black publications has done a very nice review of the 2nd pirate bust on their YouTube page would put the link up but does not seem to like me trying lol it’s on face book too. It might help with your decision. You might have to hide it from her who must be obeyed.

Malc it’s going really well in deed will be a great job when done you will have to raise 3 or 4 glasses of rum lol.

Progress report, the trousers have been painted in acrylics opting for a light-ish linen colour.
The boots I've painted in oils, using Burnt Umber as the base, Chrome Orange Deep, Mars Yellow and Naples Yellow for detailing.
I've also added the pistol tucked inside his boot.
Sword is attached, but needs detailing in my next session.

Hi nap thank you for posting the review, we were knocked out by it. But hey we are trying to take things in our stride as it were. But the recognition is great.

No not seen FB yet but will look for it phone on charge .

Malc it’s really coming together like the trousers it’s a good contrast to the others. It all seems to be working out very well indeed.

Thanks Malc it was out of the blue and he did go over it with a keen eye. Well gents you will not be disappointed with any of the 3 pirate busts. We have seen all3 put together on a sloping base they looked great,

At the moment they are being painted by our good friend Carlos Montero will post when the final two are finished below I have posted the box art for pirate one this will give you the idea of what they will all look like.

It varies, if the oils leave a nice sheen I leave it be, if it matts out, I stipple a little Satin varnish.

Hi Malc glad you like the art work it’s just so nice to see the various versions of the figures. I know this one was in competition this weekend in Rome.

The black works so well it’s a hard colour to use at the best of times but to do the whole figure was very well done.

Now we have to look forward to yours now can’t wait .

I'm on the final stages now. work is being completed on the musket before being attached,
then it down to setting them in position and adding any final detail and weathering.

Hopefully it'll be finished by the end of the week.
Next Up..... Not tonight Josephine, and maybe some more busts and some fantasy.
