I will hit the wall with two cannon balls! one inside the wall and the other on the ground, I will add a skeleton thorax and a skull, also a spanish helmet with a hit from bullet and some pricks from the wall, in the end I will add plants and some fishes before pouring the resin for water effect!

....AND a ship sailing past I hope IIias.......just saying ....LOL

Not an expert by any means but I would suggest it is on the rather large side. Certainly too big to have been a ship borne cannon but I would certainly let people more knowledgeable than myself.

Cheers Simon

Yes that looks better, the thing is the larger the cannon ball then the larger the cannon and there is a limit as to what can be put on a ship. Some of the big land based siege cannons would fire the first ball but they would be far too big for a ship. Also pirates carried smaller cannon as they wouldn't want to use big cannons as for their purposes they didn't want to sink ships as they couldn't then steal the cargo. Either way though it looks fantastic.

Cheers Simon

That looks good, as solid iron shot they are really heavy so even a smaller ball would do an immense amount of damage. Only too happy to help but like I say I'm no expert, this is all knowledge gained from documentaries and a hell of a lot of reading over the years. Really enjoying this thread of yours.

Cheers Simon

Hi IIias

Nicely done ......reckon you've got it spot on for the cannon ball

Nice feedback from Simon ....who if you put a hat on that's upturned on side would not look out of place as a buccaneer .......all together now........sea shanty ...LOL

Fine progress
