Thanks for your response guys,
I guess it's somewhat of a crap shoot when you buy a casting.Probably the best thing to do is inspect in detail as soon as you get the piece instead of a quick glance so you have some recourse in returning. My problem is (was);and I know I'm not the only one;is buying pieces and salting them away saying to myself;this is my next one to paint.Unfortunatly it doesn't always work that way and when you do get to the point where you pull it out and start working at it and finding problems it's in the archives as far as returning it.
So I don't know what to say other than check real good as soon as you buy.
Anyway thanks again for responding and as far as what the guy said about this hobby being dead,.....Sorry,I think you're dead wrong.............Best regards to all...........Wayne

Hi wayne

We all learn lessons !!!

If that manufacturer is worth anything and is still going i would drop them a line.

You bought their product it should be good no matter when it was bought.

Contact them...you havent lost a thing have you really...if they give no response you not gonna buy again ...if you dont you still not gonna buy....if they respond and its favourable your faith in them is restored....but maybe check a little more next time.

Hope you resolve this one way or the other....

All the best

Stu

I think the point has already been made that if you're unhappy then contact the manufacturer, explain your issue and let them sort it out. If they don't sort it out then you've real cause for complaint.

As a manufacturer the worst thing is when a customer is unhappy but doesn't tell me or give me the opportunity to make amends. Mistakes do happen, it's how you deal with it that's important.

I dont' know if this applies to this topic or not but here it is. One of my habits is as soon as I get a figure, I clean it up, (cast lines, molding plugs, etc.) All the figures in my gray army have already been prepped and ready to go to the priming stage. I can tell right away if there are any issues with quality and I have honestly been blessed with the quality from all around the globe. I have had some pieces that required a little more TLC, but I cannot think of any that I would throw away. It would have to be a monsterous mistake with the piece before I would contact the manufacturer. I do stick with the sculpters and retailers that I am familar with so that helps a great deal too.
