Whoa, whoa, whoa.......wasn't it bad enough that we took Green Day to Broadway? Now we have some sorta emo blugrass covers goin' on.......too much for my delicate constitution. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Interesting.

I was checkin' out Gossip just the other day on iTunes, I really like them. She is alot-a-woman, but she has a great soulful voice and mixed with that paired down backing band, some magic there me thinks. I do wish she would cover a bit more up on stage, but maybe that's just me.........

And I'm super glad you like the good Reverend Chippy. A much too much over looked band with scads of tallent! If you get a chance, DO NOT MISS THEM LIVE! Outasite!

Oh, and Carl, decent pick my friend. Melow and soothing. Kinda gives me an Enya meets Native American kinda thing.........cool.

HA HA HA, awesome! I Loves me some Flogging Molly! I could go on for DAYS in the "Celtic Punk" genre. One of my favorite genres to get completely lost in! I know we already touched on some classic Pogues, what about the Tossers, how about The Skels, Fiddler's Green, Charm City Saints, The Cerry Coke$ (This is a Japanese group doing Celtic punk - TOTALY wacky and fun!!!!!), Catgut Mary, Flatfoot 56, The Rumjacks, The Vandon Arms, The Welch Boys, OF COURSE Dropkick Murphys, Street Dogs, Blue Bloods (OK, those last 2 or 3 are more Boston based punk, but kick-ass nonetheless), The Young Dubliners, Blood or Whiskey, The Killigans, The Porters, I could litterally go on for days! Here's one of my favorite celtic punk outfits, Canadians no less:

OK, I may have just over stepped my bounds a bit, but hey, I'm a child of the eighties and I cut my teeth bands like Agnostic Front, GBH, Black Flag and the like. This is a bit "heavier" than we have shared previously in this post, but isn't it time we all dove into the mosh-pit!!!!

Try this one on for size Roger. Chicago based band, I mentioned them above. Straight edge but KILLER live, I've seen them live twice and it was a HOOT!!!!!

Crap, I just can't help myself! I'll bring it down just a notch from my last post. So I'm also a HUGE fan of what is termed instumental surf music. EXCELLENT painitng music. At the cutting edge of that is this band:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ls9-smAgSRI

This particular video has scenes from a cult calssic movie they had a hand in doing the soundtrack for called Psycho Beach Party. If you're into those type of campy B-movies, it's definitely worth a view. I've seen those guys live 4 times and would travel almost anywhere to see them again, KILLER musicians all!

Want more instrumental surf for your collection (lord knows all of it is my collection!), try some a dis: The Aqua Velvets, Satans Pilgrims, The Mermen, The Bomboras, Dick Dale (the undisputed KING of the surf guitar!), Link Wray, Man? Or Astroman?, The Volcanoes, Eddie Angel (also a member of Los Straitjackets), The Ghastly Ones, The Aqualads, and on and on..........

Diego, I like those guys, REALLY great campy videos as well!!!

Here I go again!!! Now you want Psychobilly, check this out! You may have to turn it up a little, heck, who am I kidding, TURN IT ALL THE WAY UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Based outa Dallas these are boys who will rock your socks straight-off, even with your shoes still on! They have been touring CONSTANTLY for years and just plain know how to get it! I've seen these guys live at least 8 times, and I would see them 8 more if they would just stop by more often. This drummer is no longer with them, shame.

I got it all baby! Rockabilly, pshychobilly, punkabilly, what do ya want?
