Geting the hang of a slung pelisse is always tricky and not many models get it right. It's quite a heavy garment, often with a fur lining or edging. The right sleeve is always going to hang vertically and pull the weight of the pelisse down the soldier's back, especially when the horse is moving. Gravity always wins!

Well done Ivo, I think that you nailed it.

Richard.

hello

Another subject has been completed... in this case out of my comfort zone... a Queens Own Officer from the 1840s.

Completely constructed using accessories from Figurinitaly, from the horse to the hands and head.

Stucco is the magic sculpt, while copper was used for the saddle cloth.

a new unique piece is on the table... directly from a contemporary painting by Colonel Barbier, a portrait of the chef d'escadron De Ghigny. Made by mixing the horse, head and hand converted from Figurinitaly and parts from Metal Modeles. In this case, the sculpture is made with white milliput. By the way, the ground leg has a steel pin on the inside up to the body of the horse to secure the structure.

I don't know if there enough superlatives to sufficiently describe the artistry in these pages.
Inspirational.
Thank you for posting your work and some of your ideas and techniques.
