Hello Hardy,
there you go again buddy, with so much needed inspiration for us all. The figure is already looking outstanding. I love the face and the detail of the arm and hand. Breathtaking details!!! Impressive effect of a dark shadows in the lower part, have to study this for a while to catch up all that:p

Are you gonna update your web page with Spartan and Spanish Nobelman? Are these finished? I would love to see the final pictures as well:))

kind regards,
R.L.

G'day Hardy,

Even if I didn't see your name on this post, I could pick your figues out simply because you have such a distinctive and unqiue painting style. You seem to be able to lift every small detail out and make them "pop" without spoiling the harmony of the overall effect.

It's a great credit to you mate that in a world where we are all struggling to find our own style, you seem to have perfected a style of your own. My only negative comment relates to the hair colour. It just doesn't look realistic to me; far too orange IMHO. This may just be the effect of magnifying the image so large in the photo, but I would prefer to see a more muted hair colour.

Anyway, hair colour aside, its a masterpiece and I can't wait to see the final pics.

Thanks Robert, Tony and Janus. Website will be updated with those figures soon as they are completed. Figures and website have had to be a second for a while but im now able to give more time to the hobby.

Hi Tony mate, your right about that hair and I have changed it alot from that closeup pic. He's still a ginger, just not so bright. Cheers. Hardy

Outstanding paintwork Hardy on of your best!
Would love to see this figure in flesh.

Cheers,
Marcel.

Hardy; I was looking at this figure again this morning and it made me come to this conclusion. If the "Cure" wasn't a band but instead was a figure company they would have made this figure. If the "Cure" was looking for someone to paint the figure they would have found you. This whole piece is so "Curetastic", not the poppy Cure but the dark underground old Cure. The figure hints of some demented Goth that may have self inflicted the wound on his arm but at the same time some Angelic undertones suggesting the wound may be of Holy origin. Man, I don't know what it is about this figure but it is truely awesome and really got me thinking. I guess I just did a KansasKid post.

Thanks Mike, must be the Goth coming back in me from my college days. Love the Cure, boys dont cry is one of my favourite tracks.

The DVD is nearly there, its a one man project and I can only do it when time allows. Getting there..... Cheers Hardy

Thanks all. Now starting the shield, just basic painting so far. Will neaten it up when dry and of course begin the weathering. Hardy
