WIP Wildling Spearman

My wildling spearman before being baked in the owen. He is about 165mm tall, this was the size of the anatomy picture of the anatomy book I used. He is made of Super Sculpey over a dollie of alumina wire and epoxy atached to the steel rod between his legs which reaches up to shoulder level.
This was probably my last attempt at sculpting a figure in one peace, it was extremely difficult to reach the leaft side of his face without touchin anything else, so the head is planned to be removed and replaced with a new one after baking.

The figure was to tall to stand up in the owen, so I screwed a plate to the base so that the could lie down with out getting deformed.
I had him in thowen for too long, as you can se from the cracks. He was in to something close to 15 minutes, probably hafe would have been enough.

His left arm was a bit oversized.

Started filling the cracks with some epoxy.

New head sculpted separately. See it compared to the removed head. From both sides, this one overheated and cracked in the owen as well.
It is now glued to body.

Thanks for sharing, I have tried that version of sculpey and find it most difficult to work with in terms of cracking!
