My first WIP here on PF.

Title says it all really.

As always I start with the eyes after blocking in the base colour of the flesh.

I'm slowly getting better with my eyes (which is more than I can say for my actual eyes, as I find it hard to see where the end of my brush is)

Well here they are...ACW

Cheers for looking

Eyes looking good, how long did they take to paint, because of my own failing eyes I use a headband magnifier and it can take me half a day to get both eyes to match involving lots of correcting, cleaning off and re-painting, I like this figure and it will be nice to follow your progress.

I use an optivisor as well, but still loose track of where the end of the brush is.

As for length of time taken, this was second attempt and probably overall an hours work (as I paint in oils a lot of overnight drying before next stage)

As for lining up the eyes, always start with the awkward eye and match up the other to suit. The awkward eye is the eye opposite to the hand you paint with (or easier to remember, if left handed, his left eye and visa versa) I start with a small dot first and adjust left or right as you build it up to make sure they are even.
