Love the metal parts
Can you give us an idea how you did this?
There are a thousand ways to paint metal parts of figures.
I think every painter is still looking for that right way.
I dont know where to begin?
The superb look of the cape, the realistic weathered shoes, the worn leather or the fresh cut on the leg. To mention a few.
Hi Hardy...he looks excellent..!!
The intricate work on the textures for the leather work, cape and the metals really make your work stand out. I love the leather footwear, and the wraps on the arm, and all the tiny details that add even more interest like the cuts and grime..it really draws you in to study every bit..
He's a real treat to look at. Look forward to seeing this one maybe at Euro.
Saw this earlier, just waited for the ground work to be done, Very nice peice, leather work is excellent as usual, Every figure you paint you can see that you are refining your style. I take it we will see this at euro.
So with this one now finished will you be getting onto Roy’s Ronin...?
HI Dave, yes he will be at Euro. As to the Ronin.....I have been asked to paint him for a collector so i will be doing him soon, but not in time for Euro. I have a in progress 54mm roman to complete first.
I hope you post some pics of Roy's Ronin as you paint him Hardy. would love to see your work with this figure. A great combination of sculpter and painter.
