WIP Marine Artillery 1816 from Black Hawk Miniatures

Hi everyone

Following on from my review of the Rob Lane sculpt for Black Hawk here:

In the review I mentioned I might add the sword ...well ....

This was the box it came in ..



This was the reference I used ..along with others !!

This was the result ( nowhere near Robs talent !! ) ...it's been cleaned and refined a bit now and is all based up and primed ...currently in a very long line on the ever expanding shelf of shame !!!


I needed to wait for putty to go totally off before adding each individual part

Also moved the sash to the other side

The black is primer undrneath before I based it up

It is nice , I like Robs sculpting , quite pleased with the sword

Will try and get this going soon ..just need to finish the flesh on the Luftwaffe Unteroffizer

Really pleased with the bust John really is a great sculpt from Rob. Nap‘s sword has given me inspiration .

Hi Guys

Finally got back to a bit of painting ...beginning with this fellow , now completed the lacework facing colours , belts, belt plate, sword frog , sash , cap plate , plume etc

Still to do: cheverons, gloves , actual cap , fleshwork , sword handle and knot

Quick pics ....blue is a lot darker !!
